Lobbying and Representation
Lobbying and Representation is at the heart of the Chamber's activity and its growing influence as the voice of business is reflected by the level of involvement during the year with a number of key regional and local organisations.
At regional level the Chamber is an active member of Chambers of Commerce North West which represents the interests of 16,000 businesses across the region and is closely involved with the North West Development Agency and other major egional organisations.
At sub-regional level South Cheshire Chamber through its Chief Executive represents all the Chambers of Commerce in Cheshire & Warrington on the Board of the Cheshire & Warrington Economic Alliance, which is a partnership between the public and private sector.

At a local level the Chamber's President chairs the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) and the Chief Executive Chairs the LSP's Jobs and Prosperity Panel. The Chamber is also an active member of the Life Long Learning Partnership.
The Chamber has good relationships with Cheshire East Council and maintains an active dialogue on their economis development activity.
There has been an increasing demand for the Chamber to join other Boards, Panels and working groups, such as the Cheshire & Warrington Employement and Skills Board, the Council of Govenors of Mid Cheshire Hospital Trust and the University Quadrant Steering Group and many others which is further recognition of its growing profile and credibility.
