Rural Planning Facilitation Service
The service, which is available to farmers and small rural enterprises, is managed by the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It will complement the business and environmental advice which is already available through the partnership agencies.
There is no charge for this service.
The Rural Planning Advisors and a Planning Facilitator are all qualified planners with local knowledge and experience of rural planning in the region. They work alongside Farm Advisors who work for the Farm Business Advice Service and with Business Link Advisors, to enhance the current client-orientated, integrated approach to advice and business support.
Your planning advisor will: 1 Contact you and arrange a meeting on site to discuss your proposal 2 Liaise with your Farm/Business Advisor, where appropriate 3 Consult with the Local Planing Authority and other Agencies 4 Prepare a full Planning Assessment Report with recommendations about how to take your ideas and development proposals forward. The report will be sent to you in confidence.
Paul Colman who is the Rural Planning Facilitator for the service said: "The Rural Planning Facilitator Service is innovative. Building on the experience and expertise of successful rural business advisory services and initiatives in and around the region, it aims to work with farmers and small rural enterprises and generate ideas which are financially viable, environmentally sound and acceptable in planning terms".
