Real help for people and businesses from HM Government
The Government is acting because extra support is needed to get us through the downturn. So a range of new help is being made available for those who need it.

Asas can arrage a confidential face to face dicussion with an experienced Advisor to talk through any implications such redundancy, contracts and procedures. This service is free of charge. Real help for businesses now
Government has launched a public information campaign, "Real Help for Businesses Now". Following the launch on 14 January of the Government's SME finance package, Real Help for Businesses Now brings together, in one place, information about Government help for businesses during the recession and how to access this - including business health checks, free training, HMRC help with delaying tax payments and loan guarantees.
The public information campaign will target businesses and direct them to contact a Business Link adviser on 0845 600 9 006 or go to the web portal: www.businesslink.gov.uk/realhelp .
Alongside this, Government has published a web booklet which sets out all the help available for both citizens and businesses, and how to access it. We have also produced a one page fact sheet on help available for business.
